For preparing your file we recommend to use our template.

For preparing your file we recommend to use our template. This is the best way to deliver your file perfectly. Because this product has a shape/special die cut and the only way to get this visible is by using our template.

Keep 50 mm safety margin from the top and right.

Keep all important text and images at least 50 mm away from the right hand side and the bottom of your design. This space must be available for the hem.

Resolution of at least 150 dpi.

Make sure the resolution of the images and graphics in your artwork are at least 150 dpi.

Use CMYK as the color mode.

Prepare your files using CMYK as the color mode, not RGB. Use colormode FOGRA39 (ISO Coated v2) for coated papertypes and colormode FOGRA47 (PSO Uncoated ISO12647) for uncoated papertypes. If you are unsure of the colour mode of your file, don't worry we can always convert this for you. Keep in mind this can cause the colours to differ from the original file.

Save your files in uneditable, print-ready file formats (PDF (1.4 or higher), TIFF, EPS, JPG). Deliver your files in one layer: the background layer.

Convert fonts to outlines or embed all the fonts.

Which materials can I choose from?

• Normal Flag Material: These flags are printed on classic flag canvas with a slight glossy look. The high-quality 110gsm canvas.
  This material is very suitable for a shopping street.
  
  
• Longlife: This flagcanvas has a strong structure and is perforated with tiny holes. The holes make sure the flag can resist stong wind speeds. A longer life is guaranteed.
  This material is best used in an open area or at the beach.

What is the lifespan of Feather flags ?

• The lifespan of the flags is 3 to 4 months while using it intensively.
  You can expand the lifespan by bringing the flags inside when weather is bad.

Untill which wind power level is it advisable to hang up your flags outside?

• Our advice is to retrieve your flags inside if gale force 7 is reached. This greatly improves the lifespan of your flags.

What is the difference between the various pedestals and accessories, and how do they work?

• Metal ground spike: The metal ground spike is ideal to place your beachflag outside on soft ground, such as soil. The metal ground spike is best suited for smaller beachflags. For larger beachflags we advise to use the parasol base + rotator.
• Plastic screw base: The plastic screw base is ideal when you want to place your beachflag on softer ground such as turf or hard snow. For example in sand or on grass. The plastic screw base is also applicable for larger beachflags.
• Cross Foot (indoor): The crossfoot is a standard which is very suitable for a flat surface. The metal frame and 4 legs make sure its extra steady. The crossfoot has a size of 85 x 85 cm and is 20cm high.
• Cross foot + waterbag: The crossfoot is very suited for a flat surface. The metal frame and waterbag combined result in extra steadiness. The crossfoot has a size of 85 x 85 cm and is 20 cm high.
• Parasol base (indoor/outdoor): The parasol base with wheels is the perfect reinforcement for your beachflag. Fill the parasol base with water or sand and it will stand firmly on the ground. The base has a size of 48 x 48 cm and a weight of 1.6 KG (without sand or water).
• Parasol base + rotator: If you use your beachflag outside we recommend using this base and rotator. Now your beachflag can spin around in the parasol base. This creates extra attention and exposure!

Which production techniques do you use?

• For the production of your Feather flags we use the following production technique(s):
• Sublimation: the printing is carried out at a high temperature, thereby the eco-friendly water based ink attaches directly to the material. The ink integrates into the material. The material remains flexible and is waterproof.

How are the beachflags being finished?

• The beachflags are always finished on the leftside with a tunnel. On the top of the tunnel is an extra solid part so the beachflag itself does not get damaged by the flagpole.
• Beachflags made from normal flag material are finished on the left side (opposite side of where the flag tunnel is) with a hem finished with double stichting.
• Beachflags made of longlife material are finished on the left side with a lasercutting method. This means the flag gets cut off and heat sealed together. This means that longlife material does not need hemming. This also expands the lifetime of your beachflag.

How can I set up my Feather flags in the best way?

• For the best set-up of your Feather flags we recommend pulling your flag as far as possible through the flag tunnel so it's as tightly pulled as possible. This way your flag will not get creased and won't damage easily.

What is the diameter of the pole that comes with the flag?

• The diameter of the pole that comes with the flag is ±2cm.

I can't find the product I'm looking for. Can I request a quotation?

• The Feather flags that is chosen in most cases can be selected via our website.
• Depending on the complexity this can take a bit longer.

Is it possible to print my flag double-sided?

• Our flags are standard printed single-sided. Double sided printing is possible, but we don't recommend it for these flags. The costs are quite high and the life span of the flag quite low. We do have other flags that are double sided, take a look at our shop flags or window flags.

Is it possible to print the tunnel strip in the design colours?

• No, this is not possible

Are the Feather flags printed single or double sided?

• Our flags are printed on one side as standard. This means that your logo is visible as a mirror image on the back. The print-through of our flags is around 95%.
