Submission specifications for Pillows

Use CMYK as the color mode.

Prepare your files using CMYK as the color mode, not RGB. Use colormode FOGRA39 (ISO Coated v2) for coated papertypes and colormode FOGRA47 (PSO Uncoated ISO12647) for uncoated papertypes. If you are unsure of the colour mode of your file, don't worry we can always convert this for you. Keep in mind this can cause the colours to differ from the original file.

Convert fonts to outlines or embed all the fonts.

Make sure you convert fonts to outlines or embed all the fonts when saving it to PDF.

Keep 20 mm safety margin.

Keep all important text and images at least 20 mm away from the edge of the finished size.

Add 1,5 mm bleed.

To allow leeway for cutting differences in production, always add a bleed of 1,5 mm around all edges of your design. Make sure colours, background pictures and layouts extend into the bleed area so as to avoid leaving white lines as a result of cutting tolerances. You can submit your file with crop marks and printer's marks.

Check your artwork on overprint.

Make sure no elements in your artwork are set on overprint. Unless you want this effect in your design. The degree of transparency in printing depends on the ink, paper, and printing method used.

Resolution of at least 150 dpi.

• For the production of your Pillows we use the following production technique(s):
• Sublimation: the printing is carried out at a high temperature, thereby the eco-friendly water based ink attaches directly to the material. The ink integrates into the material. The material remains flexible and is waterproof.
• Textile printing: With this technique we print the high quality cloth with water-based pigment inks, that provide crisp prints up to 600dpi with vibrant and dazzling colours.

Which carriers are used for the delivery?

• For the delivery of your Pillows we use multiple carriers. Because of the highest reliability, in most cases we use UPS or DPD.

What are the washing instructions?

• Wash the cover (without filling) at 30 degrees maximum. No chlorine or bleach. Do not dry clean. We recommend that you wash the cover inside out.

How long will the print last?

• With silk-screen printing and embroidering, the decoration will last at least 20 washes. After 20 washes the print may begin to fade in colour. In the case of a full colour, the printing will last at least 10 washes and the print can become less fierce after the first wash (2-10% less), especially with light fabrics. The above is only applicable if you strictly adhere to the washing instructions for the different types of printing.
