Which production techniques do you use?

• For the production of your Stanley/Stella's Kicks Sweater Dress we use the following production technique(s):
• Digital (also called Direct-to-Garment or DTG) - with this technique, the ink is printed directly onto the product. It makes it possible to switch easily to another print per product. However, it takes quite a long time to print a product. For a limited amount (up to 50 pieces) DTG is the best technique to use. With DTG it is only possible to print full colour.
• Screen printing. This technique is useful for large quantities of prints. Screen printing is relatively expensive to start, but the time and cost to print a shirt are much lower than with DTG.
• Screen printing: in this technique, products are tensioned and then placed under a screen. A layer of ink will be lowered on top of the screen. The ink only adheres to the part of the screen that is permeable (your imprint).

How long will the print last?

• With silk-screen printing and embroidering, the decoration will last at least 20 washes. After 20 washes the print may begin to fade in colour. In the case of a full colour, the printing will last at least 10 washes and the print can become less fierce after the first wash (2-10% less), especially with light fabrics. The above is only applicable if you strictly adhere to the washing instructions for the different types of printing.
